Barry Sanders: 1994 season

NFL Films' Steve Sabol gives the intro, it was after the playoff loss where Barry Sanders ended up with negative total yards in the cold playoff game at Lambeau Field vs. the Green Bay Packers. Nevertheless, he ends up as "Player of the Year" for 1994 for NFL Films. As usual, commentary included (ie, Gale Sayers, Joe Greene, Dave Krieg, Wayne Fontes, Barry himself, etc.). Internet download, fair quality video, for entertainment purposes. No gain intended nor obtained from this.

Best ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bats Review - Don't Buy an Illegal Bat This Season

NFL playoff 2010

Ever Wonder Why The Other Team Hits The Ball A Mile Farther Than Yours? It's got nothing to do with athletic ability. The secret is in the bat. So this season don't miss the playoffs and get the best ASA softball bats on the market for 2009. Below we have a list of the top three bats that will add instant pop to your lineup. Not only are these softball bats the best but they are all ASA legal softball bats. For a more extensive review with product links click the link to the article at the bottom of the page.

Miken Freak 98- This bat is a classic. The Miken Freak was always known as one of the best asa softball bats until the ASA put it on the banned list. Miken modified it's design and created the Miken Freak 98. This bat is durable and has a lot of pop. It generates maximum flex through the barrel and truly is one of the best bats on the market. Every team should carry a Miken Freak 98. At 224 dollars you can't beat it.

Combat Virus. This bat offers pop right out of the wrapper. If you are looking to impress the ladies with the long ball then this is the bat for you. The Endloaded Combat Virus is one of the best asa softball bats around. You can expect a healthy amount of tape measure blasts and frozen ropes with this bat. Combat moved the sweet spot down the barrel so you can miss hit the ball and still park it. That is why this is one of the best bats for the 2009 season.

Easton Stealth This bat didn't have the same amount of pop as the others but it was the most widely used bat. A lot of people on our team liked the diversity of the bat. I would pick up the other two bats because they are cheaper then this one but this is still one of the best asa softball bats of 2009.

Here is a secret. The best bats can not be found at your local sporting goods store. You can only get them online. So do not waste your money on a bunch of cheap bats. Treat your team to 2 great bats and have them thank you later. For the best pricing online check out the best asa softball bat review link at the bottom of this page.

Without Vick Will the Eagles Season Remain Flightless?

Nfl playoff scenarios

It looks highly likely that as soon as the lockout is lifted, (if it is lifted) a move might be imminent for the Eagles Kevin Kolb in the free agency market.

Kolb has already made it clear he wants to be a starter in the NFL and judging by Vick's phenomenal season in 2010 it doesn't seem likely he will feature in the Eagles plans any time soon.

Kolb has already been linked with many teams in desperate need of a QB, the latest being the Cleveland Browns. This move seems unrealistic however considering the Browns already have Colt McCoy in his second season with the offence and the last thing Kolb needs is a fight for starting position with a player he might not be able to better.

No matter where Kolb ends up I fear it could leave the Eagles looking very bare in the quarterback department.

Starting quarterback Michael Vick returned to the NFL emphatically last season, producing clutch touchdowns and key downs when required. Many question whether he can produce the same performances that he did for the upcoming 2011 season however.

In 2002, for the first time Vick started every game with the Falcons. He threw for just under 3,000 yards, 16 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. This season proved to be the most impressive and he never bettered this performance during his time at the Falcons. Interceptions and fumbles became more apparent, and his quarterback rating dropped. So will we see a similar outcome again at the Eagles?

Admittedly Vick had his most positive season to date last season with the Eagles, posting his first quarterback rating average above 100, but did he produce this because he had a point to prove?

Defences will be more weary of his abilities next season as well. The Eagles thrived on their big game changing abilities in 2010 which I doubt will be so accessible again.

Vick showed his toughness and ability to get the job done when required, but his physical and stubborn method of obtaining yards could see him get into trouble. It was clear he was a huge target for many pass rushers and with Kolb out of the picture, and Vick ailing, it begs the question of whether Eagles hopes of the playoffs will greatly diminish in this scenario.

Currently without Kolb or Vick the leadership responsibility could fall to Mike Kafka. Kafka, 23, was the fifth QB selected in the 2010 draft behind Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow, Jimmy Clausen and Colt McCoy. He is quick, able to run like Vick but still has a lot to learn.

Kafka is yet to feature in his first NFL game, having only played in the four preseason matches of 2010. In those four matches Kafka threw three picks and one touchdown but it was all very valuable experience for the youngster.

Kafka still obviously has weaknesses at present in his strength and accuracy so will he be able to cope with the pressure in the event of a Vick injury, or will Andy Reid be prepared to pick up a replacement in the free agency?

Super Bowl - Eli Manning's Mojo and A Perfect Season After All

Super Bowl finished, confetti swept aside, perfect season completed by the New York Giants. The title of "Perfect," beaten out of the New England Patriots for 60 minutes during the Super Bowl, now rests squarely on the head of the new kings of the NFL, the New York Giants.

The game became the second highest-rated television show in United States history, second only to the final episode of MASH. MASH was a great show, but were they giving free cheese with that final episode? Hawkeye, you've still got it! It seems that MASH was the only unit that could beat Big Blue this year. Hot Lips aside, over 97,000,000 of your closest friends watched the Super Bowl with you.

If anyone would have told you a month ago that the New York Giants would blow through the playoffs, on the road, as the lowest-ranked NFC playoff team to ever make the Super Bowl, well...you would have looked at them funny and crossed the street.

The New York Giants beat down the most prolific NFL offense in history, the New England Patriots, they of the 589 points and 50 Tom Brady touchdown passes. The New York Giants defense bruised ego and body of the normally unflappable Brady, slamming cocksure into unsure.

The script, which would have been rejected by Hollywood standards as too unrealistic, featured a young Eli Manning turning his professional career around seemingly overnight, gaining confidence in a losing effort to these same New England Patriots in the last game of the season.

Unstoppable on the road this year, when the ball fell in Times Square the Giants kicked into a gear that Tampa Bay, the Dallas Cowboys, the Green Bay Packers, and yes, even the New England Patriots could not endure.

Congratulations to a team that came from nowhere, NFC playoff afterbirth, to slay the best the NFL could offer. In a word...perfect.

CODY TUTTLE (WR/TE/H-BACK/ATH) - 2010 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

Over the last two years we have lost just two games while winning two league and one CIF championship. My first two years I earned MVP honors playing quarterback for the freshman and JV teams. As a sophomore I had a career high game of 320 all-purpose yards in one game before being called up to varsity to start at receiver and tight end. While I am big, strong and tough, I personally believe my best assets are my versatility, tenaciousness and relentless determination. As you will see in my video, I have superb hands and am rarely brought down by the first tackler. I take as much pride in making a good block or tackle as I do in making an excellent catch. I am a team leader, always giving 110% and sacrificing for the benefit of the team. Lastly, the effort I put forth on the field is matched by the work I perform in the classroom. My goal is to fulfill my potential as a scholar-athlete in the classroom and contribute in any way I can to my team's success on the field.

NFL Affiliates - Top NFL Advertisers - How Much They Spent Last Season and How They Make Deals

The National Football League has many corporate sponsors. When you sit down and watch a Sunday night game, you will likely see hundreds of ads both discreet and in your face. Most of the time, you see repeats too. We all know that the automobile, soft drink, and beer industries do the best as NFL affiliates. But who made it to the top last year? Of course, it is a beer company.

1. Anheuser-Busch (A-B inBEv) spent about $134 million dollars total.
2. The US Government (including General Motors) came in second spending about $127 million in total.
3. Toyota was third with a $107.8 spent.
4. Ford spent about $97 million.
5. The NFL itself put in about $97 million for advertisements last year.
6. Miller Coors spent about $88 million total.
7. Sprint Nextel Company put in about $82 million.
8. Southwest Airlines spent about $66 million last year.
9. Verizon Wireless spent around $64 million.
10. And AT&T came in number ten spending about $64 million dollars on ads during the NFL 2009 season.

So how do these affiliates make deals? Well check out some of the advertising deals made in previous years.

o Beer: In 2005, it was agreed that Coors Brewing Co. would pay a total of $500 million over a five year period to become the NFL's official beer sponsor. This was a 67% increase from the previous year's deal. On an annual basis, the NFL takes in about $70 million for advertising.
o Soft drinks/snacks: the PepsiCo is spending over $1 billion on two major deals with the NFL. They are paying $560 million for Pepsi, Frit-Lays, and Tropicana to be advertised and an additional $500 million for Gatorade ads, all which will expire in February of 2011.
o Apparel: Beginning back in 2002, Reebok made a 10-year agreement with the league to pay $250 million in order to be the official outfitter of the NFL.
o Cars: Every year, General Motors pays out at least $140 million to be NFL's official car of choice. This four year deal which was signed back in 2005 split the vehicle status between three NFL periods. GMC trucks would be advertised during the regular season, Cadillac during the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl, and of course the Hummer during the NFL Draft.

If that wasn't enough, CBS has sold about 65% of their inventory for the game. As you can see, crazy amounts of money is spent during the NFL pre-season, post season, and of course during the Super Bowl. I couldn't blame them, the NFL is huge. So keep your eye out this season for commercials with the new Ford F150 Exhaust, the luxurious Cadillac Escalade, and of course the big mean Hummer because millions were spent for your very own viewing pleasure.

Buffalo Bills 2010 Season Predictions

The Buffalo Bills have a lot of work to do to get back to a playoff contender, as it looks as though the organization is once again in the rebuilding phase. The Bills spent a long time trying to find a new head coach this off season, and wound up with Chan Gailey. Gailey has two years of head coaching experience with Dallas, but the majority of his work has been as an offensive coordinator, and he will take over the play calling for the Bills this season. The Bills also bring in new defensive coordinator George Edwards to implement the 3-4 scheme. Here is a look at what the Bills bring to both sides of the ball in 2010, plus my prediction on how they finish up the 2010 season.

Offense: The Bills didn't get a lot of production out of the quarterback spot in 2010, as Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick both struggled to put points on the board. Everyone expected the Bills to make a move this off season to bring in a new face to compete for the job, but that was not the case, and it looks like it will either be one of these two guys starting on opening day.

The Bills had a chance to improve a very bad offensive line with their first pick in the NFL draft, but instead went after Clemson running back CJ Spiller. The move gives the Bills a ton of depth in the running game, as Spiller joins holdovers Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch, and Spiller has the ability to really add a spark to this bunch with his homerun ability.

The Bills decided not to bring back Terrell Owens at wide receiver, leaving Lee Evans alone as the only real target in the passing game. The hope is that former second round pick James Hardy will be ready to step in and give this team some production as the No.2 receiver.

Looking at that offensive line, the Bills added former Oakland Raider Cornell Green to take over at right tackle, and they seem content with bringing back Demetius Bell to start at left tackle. The interior of the line figures to be strong with guards Andy Levitre and Eric Wood and center Ceoff Hangartner, but this group needs to stay healthy if they want to improve off a miserable 2009 season.

Defense: The Bills will be shifting a number of players around this off season to adjust for the 3-4 scheme. Former defensive tackle Marcus Stroud is expected to move to defensive end, playing opposite of newcomer Dwan Edwards, who has some experience playing 3-4 defensive end in Baltimore. At nose tackle look for Kyle Williams to start and rookie Torell Troup to add help as a solid replacement.

At linebacker the Bills will move Aaron Maybin and Chris Kelsay off the line and put them at the two outside linebacker spots, while Paul Posluszny and Kawika Mitchell hold down the two inside backer spots. The Bills were 30th against the run in 2009, but they are hoping the switch will allow them to improve on those numbers this season.

The secondary figures to be strong again in 2010 after allowing just 184 yards a game in 2009. They return a very good starting corner duo of Leodis McKelvin and Terrence McGee. At safety the Bills struck gold with 2009 second round pick Jairus Byrd, who led the team with nine interceptions as a rookie. The Bills also have a strong safety in Donte Whitner, but he needs to start making a few more big plays.

Prediction - 4th in AFC East: To much rebuilding going on for this team to have any chance at competing with the Jets, Dolphins, and Patriots this season.
