The Seattle Seahawks defeat the St. Louis Rams 16-6 to win the NFC West Division title. The Seahawks become the first team to win a division title in the NFL with a losing record (in a non-strike season) at 7-9. Charlie Whitehurst, Seattle's backup QB, gets only his second professional start and makes the most of it by playing smart and relatively error-free football.
